Singer Bobby Brown was arrested early Wednesday on suspicion of DUI, his second such arrest this year.
Brown was pulled over just before 1 a.m. near the intersection of Ventura Boulevard and Corbin Avenue in Tarzana and “when they approached him, they smelled the alcohol,” L.A. Now reported.
The 43-year-old was booked and released, LAPD Officer Venus Hall said. L.A. County Sheriff's Department records show bail set at $25,000, with Brown leaving before 8 a.m.
The New Edition singer earned three years' informal probation and a day in jail after his March 26 arrest for DUI, which happened around midday in Reseda. Brown, who had been pulled over initially for talking on his cellphone behind the wheel, also was told to participate in a 90-day alcohol education program and pay a $390 fine.
In early August, he checked himself into rehab as part of his plea deal. He checked out less after less than three weeks of treatment, according to Radar Online.
Brown is due back in court Nov. 16.
